Meet Our Director
I have worked in the field of drug and alcohol rehabilitation for ten years as an employee's representative at Delco/Delphi Electronics, often counseling with people who were struggling through drug and alcohol additions. As a former prescription-drug addict myself, I was able to understand the lack of support that is available for these people. My heart especially went out to women with children as I became aware that there are very few facilities specifically for them, and none in our area.
As I researched this lack, I sought, through prayer, for an answer to this dilemma. The answer is The Gilead House, a facility expressly for women with children where they can come to receive treatment, as well as follow-up support. The Gilead House, named for the "healing balm in Gilead" will be a safe haven where women with children can begin the restoration process. Please search your heart and give your most generous gift.
